These are not sweet at all, I like to eat one before a long afternoon run.
Ingredients:
- 1 thumb-size chunk fresh ginger
 - 6 pitted dates
 - 2 TBSP flaxmeal + 5 TBSP water
 - 1x15oz can black beans, rinsed+ drained
 - 1 TBSP coconut oil
 - 2 TBSP avocado (about the half of a small one)
 - 1/4c unsweetened cocoa powder
 - 1/2c ground raw cocoa nibs
 - 1 TBSP maca powder
 - 2 TBSP mesquite powder
 - 1 TBSP turbinado powder
 - 3 TBSP maple syrup
 - 1/4 tsp salt
 - dash vanilla extract
 - 1/2c apple sauce
 - 1.5 tsp baking powder
 - 1/4 tsp expresso powder
 - 1/4c unsweetened coconut
 - 1/3c raw nuts of choice (I used walnuts)
 
Instructions:
- preheat oven at 350F
 - mix flax meal + water, set aside
 - in the bowl of a food processor, chop ginger and dates into tiny pieces
 - drain + rinse beans, add to the bowl, process
 - add the rest of the ingredients, but the nuts + coconut and process until smooth
 - add nuts and coconut, and process lightly
 - add this batter to a mini muffin pan
 - bake for about 30 minutes; let cool for a least 15 minutes before popping them out
