The piece featured on this entry is Lure and was created in 1995 by Kiki Smith (b. 1954). It represents the poetics of the human body. The weight of the hook recalls the status of the body as an earthly thing – a weight to which the lightness of the psyche is perpetually bound.
Talking about the body, there was quite an uncanny arrangement. I will let you be the judge:
